I ordered one of their premium m4 uppers on Sunday for $299
I'm sub $500 on that build with a good spec'ed rifle |

I did the same thing. Premium upper complete with Bolt/charging handle was $319.
Go into the compare section and see what the differences are with the barrels. |

I'd rather have 1:8 for a stainless barrel since that is more versatile and the "norm".
