Thanks man. Yes, actually right after I sold the B2 CQBR URG, I first went with a Geissele MK8/10.3" DD barrel/Colt upper, but then when I started getting pulled in the direction of an LPVO, I was like yeah, I want something longer. Sold it and put together the 14.5" and it's becoming a recce of some sort. Mount and glass are next.

I was a wheel mech and our rule about anything with a Detroit in it was that if it wasn't leaking, it had no oil.

I like Flickr, but they have (or will be) limited your total number of photos to 1000 unless you upgrade to a paid account.

Nice....I have a m4a1 fsb upper coming hopefully this week..it too will be getting a bravo. I was only kidding about the clone correctness.

It's cool to see how these actually get setup in the field to suit that particular individuals preferences.

Hi guys.

I’m seeing all kinds of grips on the mk18’s, a2, a1, but are they also using ergo and magpies and if so which magpul?

Also on the rear site is a kac gtg or only matech?

Thanks guys.

Correct grip is either A1 or A2 as those are the only issued grips.  Grips are changed by the user.  For a rear BUIS there are only a few in the system.  First older KAC 300m, then LMT A2 (cut down carrying handle/Navy only), KAC 600m and Matech.

Are the KAC 600M and the Matech distance calibrations suitable for the 10.3" barrel? If not, is there any documentation on what ACTUAL real world distances correspond to the sights' selector markings?

Don't believe they are calibrated for 10.3".  There are 3 standard barrel lengths of 10.3", 14.5" and 20" for Uncle along with M855, M855A1, M856, Mk262, Mk318, and M995 ammunition.  I haven't seen any data collected.  I do believe those two BUIS are calibrated for M855 out of a 14.5" bbl.

I'll have to measure the sight post height change at each setting when I finally get one.

This is neat: According to Strelok an EXPS 3-4 has the following calibrations for it's 4 dots when shooting 62gr Fusion MSR at 2530fps: 200yds (zero), 350yds, 450yds, 550yds. That's convenient.

That reticle is way to busy for me. And I don’t plan to use my 10.3 beyond 200. Can it be done absolutely but past 200 I’ll grab something longer with glass

Nice. Scoop it! Its likely made after 2014(no su markings), which means its right on the cusp of being out of warranty/non serviceable.
Contrary to what you read about the 553's, I sent one back to Eotech in December for warranty repairs/reticle fade. S/N Starts with an A on the later 533's hence the no SU-231 markings. Civilian sold 553's all had 7xx,xxx s/n's. It came back recharged with nitrogen and just as bright as a new exps 3-0.

Paid $577 from grabagun two Christmas ago for the OEM1 and OEM2 - picked up 3 of each at that price. waiting for the next scare buy to unload. Lucked out on the walmart colt MOE sale off at $345 locally.. got the last 3 they had here.
I dont think we will see them prices ever again.

A4's were just becoming a thing when I got out in '13.

There was an end loader that had a Detroit but I can't remember the model, though I never worked on one.

...my opinion, SF for block II if you're going to get a can(s)...I personally will never own a can for a CQB gun...Benefits do not outweigh the cons....Personal opinion of course.

Just got my 10.3” Colt CQB from AU!

So, no more “C” stamped on the barrel, right?  Also, should there be a manufacturing date on it?  Lastly, everyone else’s I’ve seen was drenched in lube, but this one seems pretty dry...Normal?

Excited to get this thing on my Colt Upper!

Should have the cage code on it. I think it should have the date but I don’t have mine near me to check.
