I finally decided several months ago, that I'd give a try at building an AR. I've been shooting for 34 years and was very happy with the Mini-14 platform which I have been shooting and reloading for, the last 26 years. My buddy, who is a Marine, had really been on my a$$ to give it a try. Which I did, when I happened across a lower that I could afford at the time. Then over several month's I bought the parts. And when I collected everything needed. I put it all together. I have to say I'm very pleased with the end result. There is though, a few more things I'd like to add to it. But for now, its good to go. Just wish the weather would clear up a little in the NW, so I can get out and put some rounds down range with it.

Was the Stark grip a choice, or did you snap the trigger guard ear off?

Looks good!  I imagine your front BUIS could go forward another slot, but its fine where it's at.

Welcome aboard!

That was my first thought as soon as I seen "the grip of shame". That's funny.
Good job on the build op.
