I put this gun together 2 years ago. It has less than 100 rounds through it. SI Defense Lower, RRA LPK, Spikes Battle Trigger, Stag 2H upper, Magpul furniture, vertical foregrip and a few accessory rails, Vortex Strikefire red/green dot, with 2 30 rd Black Pmags (Vtac Sling not included in value)
What's it worth right now? What can expect to get from it locally?

Honestly I would offer you something in the $500/$600 range. The market has been flooded with good quality parts for some damned good prices and the only thing I'm really will to pay a fair amount for is top quality stuff that happens to be exactly what I want. That being said I see locally guys selling used PSA rifles for $800/$900 and actually getting it. I wish I was that lucky I'd be building PSA's every damned day.

True about AR15 parts being flooded right now...I have a practically damned new Black Eotech 553 on the EE which I am VERY surprised hasn't sold already...that is my reasoning for why it is still available. Just a lot out there right now from buyers who didn't know what they wanted, bought a ton of stuff, and began selling what they didn't need/want.

$700-$800. The Strikefire isn't worth anything,IMO. You would probably be better off selling the optic alone.

Your idea of worth, and someone else's idea of worth will always differ.
One of my co-workers once told me it's only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. Having said that, I'd say that most of these guys are around the ball park.....well, according to my idea of worth anyway.

What are the barrel and bcg specs? Without those being desirable parts, it's just a standard AR that anyone can build new for $700ish probably. But the good thing is prices are completely subjective to the buyer! Take it to a gun show and you may get a bit more.

In my shop, if somebody walked in with this, I'd put it at trade/buy value for about $850, meaning we'd give you about $400 for it. If it was taken in on consignment, we'd probably retail it for around $899.99, but we would do this knowing people would be interested in calling you to make offers a lot little lower than that. On that kind of a consignment sale, depending on what offers you take and how far you'd bend the price, you'd walk away with about $700 or so.
Outside of a retail/gun shop setting, I think you could try to sell it for around $900/$850 with the expectation that your potential buyers would try to haggle it down to closer to $700 or so. At the end of the day it is a used gun and a personal build, so anything goes when an unknown source has built the gun -most buyers know they're taking this risk, and it will reflect in the pricing of the gun. If somebody offered you $800 or higher in cash, I'd probably just go for it without a struggle -I think you'd make out well with that much in the market we're experiencing these days. There's a lot of risk for buyers when buying "as-is" guns, especially something that was home-built, even if it was done right, and because of this, people will be reluctant to shell it out when they can get a full-warrantied product for the same if not cheaper value. From a retail standpoint, what you're really doing is attempting to fight the "M&P15 Sports," "Echo316s," and other entry-priced AR15s that carry excellent warranties from established makers. You have to convince them that your AR is a better buy, even though it doesn't carry the assurance of quality or the warranties the "other guys" offer. I'd probably say $550-600 for a frankengun similar to yours. Nothing really stands out your build quite honestly. Right now you can get a factory Colt 6920 or an equivalent factory BCM for around $1000 +/- $100-200 depending on whether or not a sale is going on or if you have access to LE/MIL pricing. I just can't see myself spending $700-900 (if this is what everyone agrees on) on someones parts build when a few hundreds more can get me something with some factory backing.

I see max $700 to someone with a little experience with AR15s. ~$800-$900 to a first time gun buyer. You might make more parting it out. I know to me the Vortex optic is worthless so I would make an offer minus the optic. You have good quality parts, but again, about $700 would be max in my mind. You would get a lot less from a gun store though.

That is the definition of a home built Franken-AR. IMO, it's not worth $600. I can go buy a new 6920 for $900 or many other reputable brands for approximately the same.

If you really want to sell it put it on a local site or gun broker for $1000. I think eventually you will get it but it won't be a quick sale and you definitely won't get that here.

You could build this same gun minus the magpul furniture for around $650 right now at PSA, using all PSA parts. That's including the optic.

Let's see, the PSA uppers on sale at various times have 1/7, 4150 barrels (some FN) with milspec FA BCG's. The Stag H2 has a 1/9, 4140 barrel with a semi BCG. Pony up for the on-sale LPK's with the ALG trigger negates the value of the Spike's Battle Trigger. You're right, different things for different people, but in any realistic scenario with today's prices the OP's rifle is not a $900.- $1K piece. Ok I wasnt aware the 2H was 4140/9 twist barrel. I thought Stag was 4150/7, so I stand corrected on that, and it will take a hit for it. Last time I looked at Stag I thought all their stuff was CMT/milspec stuff.
On PSA I see an upper thats better on sale for $399, with no BCG, so thats another $130...a CH, another $18; we're at $547. So a complete lower, with 7075 extension, H buffer, upgraded trigger and decent quality lower parts can be had for $100? I dont see that listed on their site. |

700-800 selling yourself unless you find someone unknowledable willing to pay more.
gun store would only give you 400-600 depending on the store. smaller store would prolly give less. I wouldn't call that a low end build tho by any means. Just not worth over 800. |

I would pay 400 for it and most likely toss the vortex on one of my shotguns or give it a buddy who would do the same. If somebody offers you 700 for it, jump on it without a second thought. PSA complete rifles can be found for 600-900 all day long. Hell, you can get a complete PTAC for 400-500 these days.
