I have been out of the Colt game for a while but, when I looked at there website today I no longer see the above mentioned rifles just carbines. What gives?

They aren't popular.

A 9+ pound AR is an answer to a question that no one asked.

I prefer my 6721 over my 6920 SOCOM and 6940; it's really a matter of preference IMHO...

I saw those but was hoping it wasn't coming down to that.

So even a regular full size standard AR is is now missing from Colts lineup?

Yep; time marches on I guess.  Why produce a weapon that only a few may buy? The trend has been M-4's and now a lot of gun makers and tactical trainers are pushing the mid-length guns.
SHOT show is getting close maybe there will be some new offerings. Maybe some other company will have what you are look for.
Good luck.

EDIT: I found this on the EE:  http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_21/1235615_Colt_Sporter_Competition_R6700.html
There are some good used AR's that pop up from time to time. (this is not mine)

They're coming out with an AR15-A4 sometime soon. It won't be an HBAR but it will be a full size A4
