Well I picked a pretty poor time to jump into the tactical AR fray. My first AR was a Remington R15 that I bought about 4 years ago and I've decided to get a more tactical AR. I've done quite a bit of reading here. I found an unfired PSA Premium M4 Carbine for $1550. It also comes with a C-products 30 rounder, a 20 rounder and a carrying handle. Given the climate, is that a fair price?

Yeah I've been finding it quite difficult to pay twice the normal MSRP.

I sure wouldn't pay that for one.  Only you can decide if you need another AR that bad.

Eh, for $500 more or so you can get a new Colt which is more likely to hold its value.

Boy, am I glad I was ahead of the panic.

Unfortunately, you want to ride that boat, it's going to cost you, BUT, it's a relative thing. If YOU are o.k. with the price, then get it.

I was at a lgs yesterday picking up some small ar parts and a fellow there had just picked up the PSA rifle that he ordered on black friday. It just showed up yesterday.

I built my PSA rifle 2 weeks ago. I have $705 in it and I felt like I was gouged on the bolt $145. No way I'd pay 1500 for a PSA. I would consider paying that for a Colt 6940.

Yeah I think I'm going to back off. If it was $1000, yeah I'd buy it but I can't bring myself to pay twice the regular price.

If you want it, buy it. None of us can predict what is going to happen in regards to the possible AWB. Most of us thought that Obama had no chance in hell of winning...you can see how that worked out.

Throw 1100 cash in his face and try to get more mags and ammo with it.

If you are looking at Texas Gun trader, stop.  Keep an eye out for an upper in stock from Palmetto and get on the pre order list for a lower.  Then start looking for a BCG.  In the long run you will be happier.

I have been seeing tons of PSA rifles selling for between $1200-$1500 since i live in SC close to their stores. So I guess its all relative to what the rifle has. For a stock rifle then I would not pay $1550 for it. But I am actually going to be selling my PSA M4 the first of the year. But it has a timney trigger (not installed yet), CTR stock, enhanced butt stock, Ergo grip, Magpul bad lever, mapgul MBUS, quad rail, the stock 30 round metal mag and 5 gen 2 Pmags (30 rounds), plus a few other add ons. All accesories are in FDE. Also including all the new take off parts with it.

Mine is brand new never fired and never even loaded. All mags are brand new and never used as well. I have been getting offers of $1400-$1500 for it. So it all depends on how the rifle is built i guess

Sold one last week for $1000, and I felt guilty but the guy really wanted it. He was happy as hell to get it. Everyone has been telling me I gave it away, as guys are selling used AR's for $1500+

armschest.

I wasnt advertising. If I was I would list it on EE. I was simply stating that I have gotten multiple offers already in that price range, so I have no need to advertise. I can sell it tomorrow if I choose. I was just tryng to add to the conversation that people are indeed selling those guns for those prices

The wording and level of detail used in your post would tend to indicate otherwise. Regardless, was just giving a friendly heads up so you wouldn't end up with a time out. Good luck with your sale in the new year.

There was a guy selling a $700 PSA outside the gunshow today. I shook my head and walked on without saying another word when he told me the price.
