I'm building up a new rifle and plan on getting one of the two NM triggers offered by Rock River.  According to their website, one has a 3.5 pound pull and the other is 4.5.

Intended use:  I'm basically a paper target shooter on the range (100-200 yds) and maybe some varmint hunting in the near future.  I'm like everyone else I guess, just looking for the a good trigger and the best accuracy I can get.  Any advice on 3.5 vs. 4.5 would be appreciated.

They describe the 3.5 as a "varmint trigger", but if you're using the rifle as a multi-purpose gun, 3.5lb is getting close to being too touchy. The standard RR Match trigger is the 4.5lb, and that's what most people tend to get. I'd recommend the standard 4.5.

That's kind of what I was thinking as well.  My young son will also be shooting it so I think I will go with the 4.5.  It might offer a small bit of safety on the long run.

I've got one on my last build and using a mixmaster of parts with a doublestar 20" heavy barrel and it will group  62gr Barnes Trippleshock handloads under 1/2"  @ 100 yds. JR

Another vote for the 4.5, I like mine a lot.
