I think I read that the bolt &/or carrier had to be modified to use AK mags. Anybody got details or pics? I'm thinking about trying to fab up my own magwell that can take AK mags.

The upper needs to be modified to accept the wider feed lips/ mag profile of the AK mag, not the bolt/ carrier.
