I've heard anecdotal stories of 2-stage triggers failing, hammers breaking, etc (mostly in the RRA's), but has anyone ever actually experienced a failure with one of these triggers?  If so, what was the nature of the failure?

Heard the rumors, never have seen one break in 40 years of shooting the platform...

I've shot the snot out of a couple SSAs without any drama.  It's my understanding that the military uses the select fire version of the same system, so there must be no small confidence in it.

I've read that breakages were usually due to 22 conversions.

My old RRA 2 stage went from a two stage to an unpredictable single stage (never know when it'd drop the hammer), but that was a long time ago, I hear RRA had since fixed the problem.

Same issue I had with one of my RRA's. Started acting very strange then would no longer pass a function check. My triggers were from ten years ago so it might have changed. The other RRA held up just fine.

Over 5500 rounds on my SSA with no issues.

Yep, . RRA (2 sets) would loose the first stage and go real light. That was current triggers of last year.

I wasted my money on them.

Big Bore posted a thread years ago on how to fix it.  White Oaks Armament used to (maybe still does) sell a tuned RRA 2 stage that doesn't have this problem.

That's fine, but I since replaced the triggers in all my ARs with Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) triggers.  The warrantee that RRA has is good for some, but I hate having the same issues in different guns. I fixed the problem.

Had a brand new CMMG 2-stage hammer snap in half the second time I cocked it while doing a functions check.

Kinda leary about putting 2 of their triggers in my next builds.

RRA 2 stage tuned by Bill Springfield, about a thousand rds and it still feels like new.
