Just bought my first black rifle 2 days ago....a nice new M&P 15OR. On the way home from work, I HAD to stop at the gun shop, to buy sights and 500 rounds. I fear I will have to return there to purchase things like a different forend, front pistol grip, a red dot, and more ammo. There is a serious risk of the part of my budget that was used for things like food, phone, etc. will be "re-appropriated" for other uses.....

But despite my rifle having all kinds of goodies on it , id rather get out and shoot a gun with plastic handguards and irons then have a safe queen. Show off your m&p15? |

I've tried to post a photo from photobucket but I can't see it. I went by the tutorial in the help files but it's not working. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
ETA: disregard, I figured it out. |

I have a few pics from my phone that I transfered to my comp here at work to upload. Will take better when I get the digital camera back at home.
The first is the virgin shot of the sport: http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/9632/photo1yv.jpg This is the sport with a magwell grip and some cheap rings and a cheap scope. I typically run it without the rings and scope, but I have a running bet with my friend to see how many rounds it will take to break it.. so far I've been impressed.. http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/849/photo5nq.jpg Definitely been a great rifle, saved money on the gun and put it towards lots of ammo... |

I let him shoot mine and he went out and bought one for himself for Christmas a few months later. Oddly enough, mine doesn't have M4 feed ramps... not sure why it is an older M&P tho. Still shoots great, just doesn't like soft-point/steel cased ammo. |

Sadly this is the only picture I have of my M&P. I had just started customizing it a little, bought a 12" Larue rail, Aimpoint Comp M4s and Troy flip ups. I then came on hard financial times and instead of selling it I gave it to a friend to hold who in turn loaned me $800, kind of an unofficial pawn. Well a few months later when I got the agreed upon $900 to give to him to get it back, he was unusually evasive about it. First his father had it, then he kept delaying saying he couldn't get a hold of him to get it back. About a month later he came clean and told me he sold it. I explained that the Aimpoint alone was worth nearly $800, and that for me to replace everything it would cost me over $1,800. Long story short, I never saw a dime of my money back. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/newuploads/xleic.jpg That sucks. Did you break your former buddy in half like a tooth pick? |
