I asked many questions concerning an AR-10 purchase through the LaRue and AR discussion forums. I have purchased two AR-10 lemons from two different manufacturers in the past two months but they were very good refunding my money so I will not mention their names. On my third attempt I purchased a LaRue OBR 7.62 18" and I am extremely happy to say after firing 100 rounds at three different range visits it has fired without one problem. One member of this forum said "the third time is a charm", he's completely right. I realize I have only fired 300 rounds through my new LaRue but I don't think that I will not be having any issues based on its flawless passed firing. There are a few reasons why I purchased LaRue instead of more expensive manufactures models in which I inquired to this forum about. First, my decision process was based on this form and was well accepted as I am new to the AR platforms. My second decision was based on the wording that LuRue used in their website in which I backed up through e-mails and phone calls to them. I like when companies say, "if you ain't happy we aren't" and "we know how to make our CNC machines dance and peoples tell us so". But my primary decision-making was truly based on what the end users have to say and now that I am an end user myself I understand the feeling of a good reliable AR-10 in my hands. I will keep youse guys posted after I run 1500 rounds through but I am sure you already know what my answer will be.
Did I mention that I was ringing 12"x12" mental targets at 400 meters with pinpoint accuracy along with the help of my ACOG 3.5x35. 440 meters is our furthest distance at Koko Head range Oahu, Hawaii.
