I just recently got a colt Sp6920. Went to the range to try it an some guy shooting a hesse ar15 (Yes I said Hesse) offered me $600 cash for my colt,
An he was being serious. I was in shock & felt like slapping the guy. I didnt known what to say to the guy.
But any ways the 6920 shoot great, I just need to replace the carry handle with a buis.

I'm not surprised... If he owns this Hesse AR, he has no clue

All he did was ask . . . all you could have said was "no".  Where is the harm in that ?

Should have moved a few lanes down before he pulled the pin on his rifle

No harm in asking, this is how you get deals.  Some folks don't know what they have.

You should have told him that for $600 plus a kilo or two of whatever he is smoking it's a deal, aslong as he promises to keep that Hesse away from you.

ya its one thing if you stumble upon someone who didnt research what they have and selling it for cheap and another to actively try to take advantage of a person.

And you're upset why?

Thats twice what he paid for his hesse at the gunshow.

I would've laughed in his face, until realizing he was serious, then I'd feel bad for him and direct him here for some much needed guidance. I'd sure as hell stay away from him shooting that Hesse though!

learn to shoot the carry handle first. It is good to know.

Yes - the carry handle A2 sight is a better iron sight than any of the BUIS out there.     When you get the Aimpoint (or Acog, Eotech, or magnified optic ....whatever ) on there,   then deal with the BUIS ––––Troy makes really good ones

I would have said sure, $600 down and you can take delivery when you come up with $600 more.

I would have said, "Go away!  I don't want to talk to you no more.  I fart in your general direction.  Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries."

If he is truly ignorant, then you missed a golden opportunity to develop this guy into a gun enthusiast that is educated on what quality is.  I'm not a Colt Koolaid drinker, but they make good guns.

If he was trying to rip you off, oh well, that happens all the time in this big bad world.  If he is a mall ninja rocking a UTG forearm etc on that Hesse Arms gun he would probably never want to know what quality is.

This is what I'm thinking. Maybe he offered what he offered because he doesn't know much about these rifles and has no idea what your Colt is worth. Remember not everybody hangs out on the great ARFcom. No need to be an asshole.
