It seems they added a mid length SS barreled upper now.  i checked earlier and they were not up there.  $430 complete

PSA Middy upper

Is it just me or is the option to add the midwest rail and gas block for $100 a really sick deal?

The picture shows a standard barrel extension installed in an upper with M4 feed ramps. Not an ideal set-up.

Good catch! I didn't even look that closely the first time.

Yep good catch.
PSA will have to either go to a standard upper receiver or get some M4 cuts in those barrel extensions.
Once they fix that it will be a good deal.

Site states standard extension and not M4 cut ramps.  I hope this was just a thrown togther piece for the sake of taking a picture.

I see M4 cuts on the receiver and rifle cuts on the barrel extension, what do you see ?
This is an undesirable condition because the resulting ledge can either nick or worse, deep seat a bullet on the way to chamber.
See the image at the lower left :

Go down and check them out before you buy one.

Regular price and the uppers do have the M4 cuts.

Thanks,
Jamin

from posting on equip xchange

but now someone is noting barrel has 'regular' feed ramps...

maybe all this can be clarified?  Maybe some better, larger images on site?

I see that the upper receiver has the M4 feedramps. Problem is the barrel extension has regular rifle ramps, designed to be used with a non ramped receiver. Pairing the M4 receiver with the rifle barrel extension could pose a feeding problem.

Any plans for PSA to correct this?

i will see if i can get my hands on one and, if no one has replied yet, let you know.

Just got off the phone with the armor at palmetto. He said the reciever will have M4 ramp and the barrel will too. He's building me one now and I'm going down to pick it up this evening. I let everyone know how it is when I get back.

The picture was a preproduction picture. The production model picture and specs are getting updated in the next few minutes.

We used a non-finished mockup for pics and that is being corrected right now.

The updated pics will be up in a few minutes.

Thanks,
Jamin

Thanks for the update.

+1

I bet they'll be more careful when taking pics of items that may be scrutinized by the Arf mob! Seriously, I'm glad that it was just a mock up and that the real ones aren't like that.

Went down and got one of the uppers. Everything looks really good, now just gotta get to the range. I was told mine was the first out the door, these look real promising. Kinda wish I would have bought another, it's just something about that barrel .

Wow, great price.  Not familiar with the Wylde chamber.  I shoot mostly 62gr M855 or 55gr XM193.  Will this upper handle these loads without any long term hiccups?

Yup.  If you'll try out some 75-77gr bthp, you'll probably find some major accuracy increases over the 5.56 surplus stuff.
