Still doing my research and these two manufactures and models keep popping uo with very good reviews - anybody own either or have the brand and opinions?   thnx      FYI -Noveske is +410 - worth the extra   $$$$?  I know this is a subjective question but just looking for feedback on companies etc as all companies will their lovers and haters.  Have only seen the DD which the gun sales was really pushing - not sure if his statement on company (good) or just looking for commission.

Thanks

Noveske is better. Better quality barrels, they will be more accurate than comparable chrome-lined barrels. That is the primary difference between the two. The barrel is one of the most important parts of the rifle, I would consider this to be worth the money if you can spend it.

I have both.

While I prefer the barrel profile of the Noveske, the DD is a solid rifle that you can't beat for the money.

More than likely, the DD will serve your needs just as well as the Noveske and leave you an extra $400 for a good optic or ammo.

I also have both and agree with topgunpilot20.

I'll add that if you do go with Noveske JUST get the upper.  Depending on model Noveske charges between $605 and $750+ just for the lower and it's the exact same, nothing special lower on all models!

I can see $750 for the KAC SR15 E3 lower with all that's going on there.  But $750+ for a Noveske lower...Come On Man!

I agree. When you can get a solid lower for less.

I took the DDM4v3, I LOVE it. Not knocking noveske in the least, but when it came to VALUE, as a guy who doesnt put his life on the line, the DDM4 came out ahead, they can be found for $1200 now days, never seen a noveske at that price.

If you are considering noveske at all, just buy the barrel, get your flavor of cheap upper, and get a nice BCG, done! :-D

Get what you can afford. That said the DD should do everything that you want it to.

Noveske upper, lower of your choosing with a good lpk, Geissele trigger and your pick of a stock and grip.  Although you could make it easy and get a KAC lower and be done.

I have a noveske and I would of told you hands down two weeks ago that you should go that route.  Played with a buddies DD rifle the other week and it is really slick.  It is a fine weapon.  You really can't go wrong either way.  If you have the extra coin to spend get the noveske, if you want to save a few I am sure you will be really happy with the DD.  I would buy one in a second after getting hands on with one.

I have multiple Noveske's and I also get to shoot a buddy's DDM4 every time were at the range..While my Noveske's are definitely to notch, I've come to really like the DD..It's feels just as light as my KAC E3..Seeing how DD has CHF barrels, I would probably go that route and buy 1K of ammo with the money saved..I just built a 11.5" SBR using a DD CHF barrel and it is on par with my 10.5" Noveske's in regards to informal accuracy testing..I wasn't trying for sub-MOA groups but, was able to hit soda cans out to 200 yards with PMC ammo..

There is no wrong answer, both are great. I own a couple Noveskes and have used a DD. If you want a little more accuracy get e Noveske but otherwise they are both extremely nice rifles.

+1
You can buy a complete Noveske Upper for 1400, Complete Noveske Lower minus stock for 450 and Have 300 left over for the stock of your choice AND ammo.
I think the extra money goes into the Manufacturing Tax for a complete rifle.

Which one has the cooler roll mark?

Seriously though OP, after researching this for a few months, I don't really think you can go wrong wither way, but do yourself a favor and just buy the complete upper from Noveske if you got he Noveske route,  If you just want a standard lower with no special parts, you can get one for WAY cheaper than the Noveske lower and have pretty much the same thing.  If you really want the Noveske Lower, buy a stripped lower and build it up yourself, and save yourself a little money.  I would only buy a complete Noveske lower if I wasn't confident I could build one myself.

I bought the Noveske upper, and will be putting it on a RRA lower.  The Noveske lower and RRA lower are made by the same company, CMT/Stag.  I'll be buying a stripped Noveske lower to build up with better parts at a later date.
