After over a year of saving (look at join date) my first black rifle is "done".  by done i just mean it can go bang now. i still want to add to it of course.

BCM BFH 16" Middy + BCG and CH bundle
DD Omega 9 rails
Troy rear battle sight
Spikes lower
Magpul CTR
Magpul MOE grip
Spikes billet trigger guard
Daniel Defense offset flashlight mount with Fenix TK11 r2 light

Saving up for an aimpoint (might get a primary arms m3 multi for now) and i have a magpul ASAP on the way for my MS2. Thinking about getting an AFG but I think i'll wait until the next version comes out.

I couldn't have done it without you guys so THANK YOU ARFCOM!

Very nice, Congrats.

How do you like that Fenix light?  I have the same mount but am using an old Surefire in it and wanted to upgrade to a LED light.

That's awesome on 2 levels. Great selection of parts and the patience to save and get exactly what you wanted.

All my AR's are victims of impulse buying when the price was right.

The fenix is great. It's been beat up and hasn't failed me yet. Would (and probably will) buy another in an instant.

And yeah I had to save for about 14 months. My college student budget isn't very big so I figured a few months of not eating will pay off in the end :)

Excellent FIRST Rifle.  Great choice of options and clean smart setup...besides looking great!

Good thing you don't have kids yet... you'd have to build one for each of them.  And the wifey.

Nice going

Now you must have a Back Up

One of the best thing I ever bought.

Armorers Manual
There are several types
It will show everything you need to know about your AR

And a spare parts kit

Have fun

Nice job on your first AR!

You'll want some rail panels though.

Good choices abound.

Save up for the aimpoint.  In the meantime get more practice with your irons.

Grow your sideburns out.

+1 on the rail covers and aimpoint.  Also the armors manual and spare parts kit will help out alot.  If you were to pick out select parts to have, I would make sure to at least have an extra buffer retainer spring and pin, few takedown pin detent springs and detents.  Your safety detent and spring, an extra bolt, and firing pin.  I have found that a dentists pic is really nice to have.  After your done at the range, and you have fired a fair share of rounds down range, take your bolt out while its still warm and use the pick to clean around it.  Makes things easier.  Many tricks to learn from this point.

Nice looking first rifle.  I can tell you that my first AR was an impulse buy at the store, and I was not happy with it.

You did very well for your first rifle. I wish I had known what you know when I decided to jump in. It would have saved me some serious money and a lot of hassle...

Good luck.
