Hey guys, I'm looking to fix up my 20" BM rifle (currently an A2) and swap it out to an A3. I know I could just swap the receiver, but if I'm going to change that, I might as well get a new barrel (with a 1/7 twist). So I'm torn between the DSA 20" and the BCM 20". Does anyone have any reviews on either of these? which would you get? I'm also noticing the nearly $100 difference between the two. Any opinions are appreciated.

BCM for sure.  Not because their product is far superior (not saying it isn't, might be the case) but due to shipping times.  You will most likely be waiting for a month on the DSA upper.  I'm saying this even though I purchase complete ZM4 lowers from DSA on a regular basis and believe they are just as nice as any other out there and come with a mil spec ext tube.  For $210 shipped, there isn't a nicer complete lower out there.  I have yet to purchase one of their uppers though.  I do know that BCM makes one hell of an upper, having shot many.

BCM - Do a "feature comparison". No contest.

For the extra $85 you'll pay for the BCM you'll get a much better upper, you won't be waiting weeks for it, and if you ever have to sell it it'll hold its value much better.

I'm all for saving money but it's pretty tough to beat BCM uppers at $385, with the exception of Spikes from AIM but they don't make a 20".

Without even thinking about it get the BCM. There is no comparison, and you shouldn't even be asking this.

Honestly.  When these "BCM or XXX" threads come up on a daily basis, that may offer some insight on the choice.  There is a reason that BCM has the rep they do.  It's well deserved.  The make hard use gear for a fair price.  They have an enormous selection of OTS configurations.  They have some of the best QS out there.  It's a no-brainer.

I've never heard anyone say that they were actually undecided with regard to DSA vs. BCM.

OP: The BCM will win every time! DSA is no where near the higher quality of a BCM.

Thanks guys. That being said, I do have a BCM upper already. I just wasn't sure how the DSA upper stacked up to it (never owned one or dealt with them)
