No camera at the moment and even so, it is a PITA to post pics here. However, it is a Government profile 16 " barrel, no forward 203 cut. Gas block is just froward of where the barrel gets fat again, and the front sight is pinned. Barrel thickness the same thickness at the gas block and front sight. It looks like this one in the link, except the gas block is where the front sight is, and front sight just a couple inches aft of the muzzle

I sighted in the PSA dissy today with IMI 77gr Razorcore. I use the 50/200 zero and since it is an LMT A2 sight, 6/3 -4 clicks (RIBZ). Rear sight was mechanically zeroed before shooting. 3 shots, exactly centered but 4 inches high. Front sight adjusted, next 10 shots all exactly center. Extremely happy with this PSA. Whomever put the upper together at the PSA factory. was having a really good day.

Mine is getting updated yet again. Out with PWS FSC, in with an LWRC PDW flash hider (it's about an inch shorter). Out with the stainless FF sleeve with Magpul handguards and in with a 12.5" Nordic FF tube. I was liking the Centurion CMR rail...but not that much...and still wanted to keep an old school-ish look. Another candidate was the Apex "gator grip" handguard, but again...it was not worth the additional expense to me. I like the old YHM customizable handguards and the Nordic NC-1 is close enough. It should be done by the end of the week.

I have one in black. Honestly I think they OEMed the Colt Sport/Competition stocks at one point. They are really similar.

Here is mine as of now. Purchased this upper off the EE. Colt hbar rifle length. It’s pretty dang heavy, reminds me of carrying my FAL. Still debating if I wanna put a ras on it and maybe a fixed butt stock.

Dissipator barrels are rather slim pickings at the moment. Im trying to complete a build with a BCM QRF, ACOG, and Sopmod stock. Del-ton has complete uppers in stock but Ive heard bad things about their quality control and being overgassed. Do you think I should chance the Del-ton or go with a different option?

You want rifle gas? There's this FM products barrel. I prefere light weight barrels. I don't have any experience with either of those barrels. I buy Bear Creek M4 barrels or heavy (because it's all they offer) 7.62x39 barrels and use a set screw FSB. I'll have to post pics when I figure out how.

The upper receiver is original patina, and the stock and hand guard had seen use overseas. The barrel had some wear but I  used to steel wool to work the fsp ears a tad. The lower is a psa stealth that has multiple Coats of paint, that I stripped, then some more steel wool.

And @india13c

Thanks! I think it’s pretty close to perfection also.

Google fu is very weak tonight.

Anyone have a pic of a dissy with a KAC FF RAS LONG? Even an A4 full rifle with a FF RAS would be enough for how it would look.

I've got a KAC M5 rail but I'm hung up on having it FF. I know many a Marine used non FF M5 with great efficiency in Iraq/Afg, etc but I just like em better.

just an FYI for the mid length dissy users out there....

If you buy the Impact Weapons Components a2 handguards flashlight mount and put the mount on the forwardmost two holes on the top handguard, the rear attachment nut will hit the top of the gas block, bending the upper handguard when installed. This happens with round handguards. The oval, taller handguards that come with the PSA uppers fit the mount.

details and weight?
Sorry it took so long to respond, this is a cheap budget build.
PSA upper half from EE
OD hg’s & pg from JSE
$28 High Standard lower
Cmmg lpk $40 from EE
Cav Arms A1 stock
Square forge carry handle
I have right around $375-$400 in it, and it shoots great. Not sure on weight, I’ll have to check but I’d guess around 7-7.5lbs

So I had a PSA mock Dissy a few months ago (posted a page or 2 back, the Chef's Special) but got rid of it a couple of months ago.

Had a bunch of spare parts laying around, including a spare PSA 16" carbine gas barrel, most of a lower parts kit and buffer tube. I had 2 BCM blem uppers I wanted to use; One of those involved swapping upper receivers, which left me with an extra upper, the PSA barrel, and most lpk minus trigger group. Went to the LGS to get a gas tube to assemble the upper and in their box o used parts, found a YHM clamp on folding front site for $40.

https://yhm.net/front-flip-sight-tower-standard-w-o-bayonet-lug-or-sling-swivel.html

Couldn't think of a use for it until I got home and decided I'd make a dissipator like the one in the BCM poster in my work room. Went back to the gun store the next day and realized it was $50, not $40, but by then, I already had a plan.

Thought I had a set of used usgi rifle length handguards, but I couldn't find them, so I went back to the LGS to buy some magpuls. BCG and CH ordered from right to bear.

Brownells upper
PSA 16" gov carbine barrel
Aero low pro gas block
magpul mlok handguard
YHM clamp on front site
UTG pro fixed rear

Part of me wants to swap the rear for an extra USGI carry handle I have chillin in my bag of parts.

I've always liked the look of the full length hand guard with the 16" barrel, especially when it is the classic A2 style hand guards.

Got a PSA mid gas upper, 16" barrel w/ 14" rail on it.

Here's my homage to the dissy though, and like others I'm fakin' it.  No, only one gas block - but no gas tube.  It is a Glock mag 9mm PCC, so blow back.

PSA lower, Anderson sport slick side upper, Spinta bolt, NFA barrel, generic A2 style flash hider, Spikes barrel nut/delta ring combo, and PSA un-round handguards.  Not even round-ish.  Plain old oval, and out of spec but PSA didn't care.  Base barely goes into the delta ring, front end doesn't fit on a triangle end cap, barely works on a round one.  Cheap railed set screw gas block to give me a spot to put the front sights. (I need something better and less bulky esp. on the bottom of it).  And I really need some true round A2 style rifle length hand guards.  Sights are magpul flip-ups I got on a steal from a PSA daily deal.

The hard part for a true dissipator is the 16" barrel w/ rifle length gas system. Don't think any are out there now...

If you are willing to fake it - using blowback like I did, or a carbine or mid gas system w/ a second un-gassed gas block- then just about any company....

You want rifle length gas? Personally I prefere carbine gas hidden under the handguards. Do you want a barrel, complete upper, or complete rifle?
I don't know who makes a complete firearm.
Del-ton makes barrels and complete uppers with rifle gas.
Model 1 Sales makes barrels and complete uppers with carbine gas. (They offer several calibers)
Palmetto sells complete uppers with mid length gas.
Foxtrot Mike makes a stripped 16" rifle gas barrel that optics planet sells.
ETA: I totally forgot, Brownells makes a 605 clone, BRN-605. It's basically a dissapator, 15.5" barrel with a pinned and welded flash hider. I think they sell barrels, uppers and complete rifles.
ETA 2: DS Arms also makes rifle gas complete uppers. DSA phosphate barrel upper.
DSA stainless steel upper.

As just mentioned, you can pick up the Brownells 605 barrel assembly, pick your upper, and pin the muzzle device of your choice.

Windham Weaponry offers a A2 profiled and a M4 profiled barrel dissipator upper.  Both with carbine gas systems.
