Armalite blemish lower

CMMG LPK

RRA Stock

Total cost around $625, all purchased within the past few weeks.

Where can I buy a Vickers/Larue padded sling with clips instead of the sockets?

I should add, none of it has been fired, upper was bought of EE though.

What's a good surefire mount?  Are the mounts that go on the sight post still popular?

How do you like that stock?

Nice gun.  I'm doing pretty much the same thing minus the stock.  My pencil barrel came in today.

Looks good! I commented on it in the IDF thread. I thought about putting a stubby on my KISS A1 but it's just a touch too short for me.

Looks awesome.

This multicam VCAS has a clip(s?) instead of the pushbutton qd - http://www.pkfirearms.com/content/1/20/45/65

The MI mount looks GTG.  And I think it's still popular here.

Looking good but I want to hear a report on the stubby stock.

Sweet looking compact and sturdy KISS gun. Just what you want in a working gun. Ccongratulations on a fine job putting together soemthing really useful.....<><....:)

By the way, I have 2 carbines set up with RRA entry stocks and they serve thier intended purpose well. They are compact, easy to handle and carry, and are VERY sturdy.

Thanks for the comments.

The entry stock is short!!!  It is shorter than my CTR with the pad on the back of it by about a 1/4 inch.  I built the gun for my gf to shoot, and wanted no-thrills, but still wanted to be able to tinker around with the elevation adjustment of the A2 sight.

The A2 upper with shortened A2 stock had some sort of retro appeal to me.

I'm not seeing a sling that has the clips on it.  I don't want to have to thread the straps back and forth through buckles every time I want to install/take off the sling.

Yeah, you're right.  The 3rd sling down on that page comes with only (1) clip and you want (2) clips.

Does anyone have any input on using the clip at the bottom of the stock as a sling mounting point?  Does the stock like to flop around quite a bit compared to mounting higher up on the stock?

Should I spend the money on one of those mounts that go between the stock and receiver like a 1 pt sling mount?

I REALLY like the look of that. Im wondering what M4 handguards would look like rather than the CAR ones? Hmmm

Well, you could get an endplate sling adapter for an A2 stock. I think I would rig something up with paracord to keep with the KISS theme.

Oh, if you want a wide, simple sling with clips/hooks on each end, just get a GP strap off a USGI 2-quart canteen.
