Are the outside of the screw heads serrated/grooved? If so, you should be fine.

Your pics are a tad fuzzy, so it's hard for me to tell.

Yea worst pics he's ever posted.  Camera may need the blue couch to focus

Just check the tightness from time to time and you will be fine. Don't get caught up in the staking disease to much. Go shoot and have fun!!!

But I agree. Blue couch would help. I don't think its the best stake job I've ever seen.

From what I can see on zoom the metal looks to be upset enough that it is pushing against the screw. IMO they look OK. It doesn't have to look mangled to work properly.

yeah, crappy ass Kodak!  Looks ok on one side, it;s on an opposite side looks like there's no contact with the screws. but it's a BCM so it must be good!

As one smith said in one book he wrote. "Stake 'em, and then stake 'em."  I only see one set of staxe.

Hmmm...I'd think that a guy with 15 or so ARs would be able to identify proper staking...

Holy cow dude! I wouldn't want you to put your life at risk. Send it to me and let me dispose of it for you. I have a cheap DPMS that I don't care that much for. I'll just drop it in my cheap DPMS and save you from having any malfuntions!!!!!!!

Are you kidding that BCG is GTG! But then not as nice as my FN BCG's.

Too blurry to tell from those pics. Isn't there a micro setting on your camera? You own at least 15 high quality ARs from what I've seen so just compare it to your others

Who did it for you? Im in the same boat as you. Wanted a all LMT build so I took the chance on a LMT BCG and of course I get a MIM one.

ETA nevermind. just reread. Thought it was a LMT carrier with BCM key.

Looks ok. Wouldn't hurt to give it an extra whack though.
I dont think you will have any problems with the key coming loose if its just going to sit on a couch all day.

Staking is fine. It doesnt take much deformation to achive a good stake.

And yea, not seeing a blue couch in your pics is a little disconcerting. It's like Bizzaro World.

If it bugs you, and it must, hence the post, hammer them again.

I'm thinking they are most likely GTG.

I thought it was a blue STRIPED couch.

Plain blue couches are Tier 2 at best.
