Knight's Armament is restarting commercial sales of their 7.62 rifles. First out of the gate are a limited number of Mk11Mod1s (like the USMC uses) and SR-25 Special Lightweight Match. Pricing for the Mk11Mod1s will be in the $5k $9k range, lower for the SR-25s SR-25s in the $5k range. Both rifles are at the AAC Silencer Shoot right now.

Look for the 16" Battle Rifle to make an appearance as well in the near future. Stay tuned...

It`s actaully $8500 for the MK II and $4900 for the SR25 lightweight.

Might as well start it up again....  5.56 is almost as expensive as 308 and Larue hasn't said much more about their OSR......

I REALLY want one but I`m having a tough time swallowing that high of price, especially for the MK II. At that price I think I`d rather buy an 82a1. I still may spring for the lightweight though...

The tan one is the M110 SASS.

Which leads me to my question. Other than the buttstock and scope mount, If I painted the MK11 tan, would it be visually the same as the M110? Or... will they be releasing some of those in the future?

OK I am going to go out on a limb here and ask what exactly makes these rifles "worth" or "cost" so damn much? Are they forged by elves in Rivendell or have living flesh vaginas built in somewhere??????? I mean I know KAC makes great stuff but come on. These prices are just freaking crazy!!!!!! I know there is a thread that 030 started wanting to know if people would be interested in buying KAC ambi lowers and the SR15 E3 uppers as seperates but I am afraid that they will still be too high priced for most to afford.

Mine shoots extremely well but I would be lying if I said they're worth the cost, anyone who says otherwise......works for Knights, For a lot less a GAP AR-10 can be had that will shoot as well or better (likely better) & replacement parts would be easy to find & not require the black market sale of your kidney. That being said, I don't regret making the purchase & it's nice to know I can sell it for more then I have in it should the need arise.

Limited numbers, provenance, hand assembly. It's like asking why anyone would buy a $200,000 Ferrari when they can get nearly identical performance out of a $60,000 Corvette. People just want what they want...

Great guns, very limited numbers out there.

They are worth that much cash to a small group of people, enough to sell all they have.

Everyone else (me included) are just as happy with other options.

Spend your cash on what you want and don't piss on other peoples rims.

Im happy with my Armalite for the money spent. Would not mind an SR-25 if I had the spare cash.

I shot one at a RSR show in lakeland FL (Lakeland Pistol & rifle club) in 1995 and it was smooth, handled very well considering the weight and my dead eye buddy damn near won it shooting a .780 3 shot group. The guy tht beat him out shot a .599.. This was of a hard bench with a bipod and no sandbags. Not to mention neither of these guys had ever shot the gun before and were only allowed to shoot 5 rounds each before there official group.

My only thing is i shoot alot and they get man handled.

Every time I pulled it out of the truck or humped it around the hills i would be so damned concerned about denting or scratching it I would go nuts.

I can tell by alot of these pics that these guns are cased and handled with kid gloves. Dont blame you. If I spent that kind of cash (on my budget) I would to.

The real winners are our military guys that get paid to paint up, scratch up and shoot up the model 110's.. The Navy SEALS are waste deep in them now.

One marine on this board has reported never having more then 2 out of their 5 M110's in working order during a deployment. I think I'll hang on to my $8,500...

Thats easy, increase production if it's possible and for some reason, I think KAC could do it. I would love to have one no doubt but like other KAC items out there, there seems to be something out there just as nice that will do the same thing for a lot les money. Just saying.
