Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Going to replace my front sight post. Should I look out for pop out springs?

Got a KNS front post and going to swap it. Just don't want to go looking in the carpet for some tiny part.

Yes there is a spring holding tension to the detent which "locks" the front sight in adjustment position.  Unscrew the front sight slowly and you should be fine if you keep your hand over it.

By the time the sight post comes free the spring and detent will be easily visible and under little tension.  Shouldn't be a problem.
