So i had a stock bushmaster xm-15 just sitting in the safe collecting dust, that i brought back to life today with a cmmg .22 conversion.  I had forgotten how much lighter a rifle without rails is and decided i wana dress the old girl up a little bit. i think im gona go with the magpul moe handguards, ctr, mbus rear sight, and throw a light on it.  Now here is my question, i have always stayed with the black rifle theme, should i get the moe in FDE?  is it just tactical seeing how i live on the east coast and FDE in no way matches the vegitation around here?  maybe its too much late night shopping, maybe its just all the gun porn, who knows?  let me know what you think, also is the moe strong enough to support a foregrip?

Unless you're going to paint the whole thing, different color furniture is more about breaking up the outline than blending in.... well, that and looking cool.  I personally wouldn't run a VFG on the MOE HG... you can do it, but they will have some play.  I like them plain.  Feels like the front end fits my hand perectly.

The army is in the sand box in Iraq and needs FDE. I'm in East Texas and like most of the U.S., OD is more compatible with my likely surroundings.

Spray paint that sucker dude!

not sure if i drink the OD kooldade, seems to always look damn near black anyways.  i dig the spray painted look but can see the day where i would be standing over my rifle with a can of spray paint knowing i was going to deface her perminantly.  thanks for the input!
