Anyone own a SIG556 rifle? Read lots of good things about this rifle but I don't know anyone (directly) who owns one so looking for feedback from an owner of this rifle. Any insight would be very much appreciated.

I've owned two, both standard models.  The first one, sn1900 range,  was fine though many early ones had canted top rails.  The second one, sn19000 range, had accuracy problems so I got rid of it.  They also started using a plastic buffer tube which just seems like a really cheap thing to do.  I think they are fine but it's best to check it out first as I do believe the Sig qc is lacking.

People give me a hard time about spending over 2,000.00 on an LWRC........I would never spend that on a 556.  Thet are ok, but thet are way over priced.

$2000 is way above what you should be paying for a 556. I saw a few at a show just this weekend for under $1100.

My finger won’t reach the mag release button wiht out taking my hand off the grip on the 556's so it’s a no go weapon for me...

I blame my father for having short fingers… AR's I can reach.

Believe it.

We were talking about them in this thread:

I just got back and came home with the Zastava PAP that I was hoping to find

I also scored a few boxes of 7.62x39 for $4 each from a guy who saw me with the AK and asked me if I was looking for ammo.

Overall it was a very good show, prices seem to be coming down. I saw a Sig 556 for $1050 that I would have loved to take home but of course it wasn't ban compliant
Definitely wasn't as crowded as last time either.

Nice gun! I saw that and wished  I had money to spend on it.

I saw that same Sig 556. There were several for good prices, but none of them would be legal.
