Maybe it's because it's really late here, but this confuses me a little.  Right hand trigger finger and left side shoulder for stock?

I shoot right handed, right shoulder...haven't decided which eye is dominant yet so maybe I'm amb-eye-dextrious.

I activate the TLR with my support hand thumb. It's a great little light. I dig it.

Concerning TLR placement, do you shoot from the right or left shoulder?

Left eye dominant, right-handed, left side shoulder shooter here.  That's where I run my TLR.

Good choice on the 14.5 CMV chromelined sabre Gov't, Always loved to testfire those.  So light.  Like a superlight, but a hair more forward balance, and softer carrier liftoff with the midgas, and long muzzle device for flash suppression and at 14.5, its got plenty of gas to run a comp or flash hider.  No reason to go shorter without SBR.  14.5 might not be all around ideal as 16 inches, but its certainly been delivering the mail overseas for quite a long time now.  Dedicated house/vehicle gun.  Red dot, light, CTR stock, vickers sling.  Simplistic.

Just never got one.  Got the 16" SS instead.  wanted removable muzzle device, and correspondingly, removable gas block, barrel nut, etc.  Easier overall long term maintenence or just parts swapping.

Brett

I'm assuming these are all 16.1s

Damn, I am still kicking myself for not buying one of those 14.5 SDI middies from PK prior to the election

Barrels are all 14.5 with some form of fixed FH or brake. So yes, yes they are.

Is CMMG the only one that makes 14.5" lightweight middies?

From what I've seen, 14.5 inch  mid length gas systems run dirty. YMMV.

Dominant Eye test is quick and easy.

How does that work?

Mine doesn't seem to run dirtier than any other AR I've had.

Mine's fine too. Bubba12gauge, do you have any actual experience with 14.5" middies?
