Title says it all. I'm looking at starting my second build. I have no idea what fair price is for a new lower. I'm pretty sure the prices spiked like everything else but I'm wondering what is a decent price for right now. I understand that prices will vary depending on what brand. I'm kinda leaning towards RRA, Stag or something comparable. Any other suggestions on other brands will be appreciated as well. Thanks.

I know, I have been looking. Is 170 for a RRA lower pretty decent? That seems a little high to me but I haven't paid to much attention lately.

It all depends on how bad you want it.  I own four AR's already, so paying $50-75 more to have another lower right now doesn't seem like a good idea to me.  I'll hold out for prices to drop and focus on other projects.  If I only owned one AR right now, I might jump on it.

Essential Arms is currently the hot ticket around here it seems. Great finish, go together well, wait times are minimum (I waited 13 days about a month ago).

Getting one ordered seems hit or miss sometimes, because you have to call in your order, and getting them on the phone can be sometimes be difficult (They're busy folks, you know.).

But at $105 bucks plus shipping and transfer fees, you really can't go wrong.

Thanks for all the good advice. I am going to check out essential arms and also do some looking around locally.

EA is great.

I paid 169.99 for my stripped RRA at a gunshow. It's nice and that price is decent, but my next build is EA

I just bought a CMMG lower for $155 + tax.  I know it's not a great price, but I wanted to start my 2nd build and I really like the CMMG I used on the last one.

Over $120 is too much.  EA for $105.  Also just got 3 CMMG lowers for $113 each.  No more than 2 weeks wait for either.

There are deals in the EE as well... just gotta be quick.

RRA straight from RRA themselves cost $170. Seems like EA is the best deal out right now.

I would say get an Essential Arms or Kaiser Defense lower. I would prefer the Kaiser Defense lower but it's more expensive (165 shipped)

Didn't see yours, but I did spot an ugly blue couch with a Noveske on it.......

To the OP....Go with Essential!

EA is fine if you don't want an anodized part. They only offer tough coat now which appears to be a powder coating. I am skeptical of uppers that are not anodized. I don't know if EA machines and finishes the uppers they sell. I suppose the lower wouldn't make any difference except it may corrode where it's not coated such as down in the bolt catch plunger hole.

They are all anodized.  And you can get them just plain anodized without TC.  They may not always be in stock, but they do carry it.

I bought all my Stag stripped lowers for $80 each. I'm happy I did. I can't imagine paying these prices.
