I have a stripped lower, does anyone have a AR kit in stock? I was looking at RRA but they can't even estimate a ship date...

Pretty much all of the rifle kits (Del-ton, RRA, etc) are backordered for several months. Might have some luck finding one at a gun show, but you'll pay a healthy premium.

i'm looking for a whole M4orgey kit, lower parts kit and full upper...do you think that'll be reasonable ship time as well?

Look at M&A Parts. Unless something has drastically changed, you can get a complete M4gery kit for about 600 with chrome lined barrel, M4 feed ramps, etc. I ordered min and got it within a week and a half. Good quality stuff to. Some people have said they use LMT and RRA parts on their kits as well. Looking at the quality I would believe them. Truth be told though, you can just about put your own kit together for less than a complete kit though.

J&T is selling their straight up 16" carbine kit for $500 with the standard options.  I have a hard time believing you could assemble a kit from parts for less than that.

That is pretty low.

Here is what I did for one of mine
stripped lower - Essential Arms 105 (aimsurplus has Superior Arms for 80 something)
LPK- M&A parts 65(with pistol grip)
CAR stock 60(stock, tube, buffer, spring, plate, and nut)

Lower completed for around 200.

Upper receiver- Bravo Company 105
BCG, and charging handle- M&A 120, 20
Barrel- LOSOK Custom 225 (14.5" Chrome lined, 1in7" twist, M4 profile, M4 ramps, Permanently attached Phantom flash hider)
Gas tube and pin- M&A 15
Handguards- M&A 15

Upper completed for around 500.

Thats a complete gun for 700 with lower receiver, and upgraded barrel with M4 ramps.

Still a pretty good option, especially considering you can get everything together within a few weeks.

Absolutely never buy from this company. They are the worst in the business. Junk. M1S is not top notch but their quality is midline.

what about J&T Distributing seems to be a very fair price for an AR CAR Kit

Here is a Del-Ton kit for 475.00

http://www.del-ton.com/Rifle_Kit_p/rkt103.htm

I here they are great to buy from.... They are moving into a new facility which might hamper their operation for a bit!

+1 for JT Distributing.  When I ordered, they told me 12 weeks.  I ordered on a Friday and it was shipped the following friday.  Too bad it went to the wrong zip code but we are all human.  It should be arriving hopefully today.

Del-Ton stuff is GTG, but they have about at least an 8 -12 week wait and that is before the move to the new facility.  As much as I hope the new facility speeds things up I don't think it will move things that much faster.  I hope I'm wrong.
