I was talking to a friend today and he mentioned that he saw an article in a gun magazine about an M4 with a shotgun slung underneath. I did some checking and found out the weapon is called the M26.

From the pictures I have seen it looks like a very clunky weapon. Does anyone know anything about this weapon?

Thanks and Merry Christmas.

I believe it's actually slated as a possible replacement for the Masterkey. It's a bolt action shotgun that's magazine fed and manufactured by C-More. Currently under evaluation in the Middle East. An official PEO photo from Wikipedia and of course there's detailed info on that page as well:

I wonder who is manufacturing the shotgun portion? The magazine looks like a Saiga-12 magazine.

I meant the entire system is manufactured by C-More.

It's a straight pull, manually operated.

Yeah, those are nice.

I think the primary advantage over the Masterkey would be more ammo capacity for it, and faster reloading.

And yeah, that does kind of resemble a Saiga mag.

I asked once too but in reference to the Masterkey not the XM26
What is it and where can I get one?

Yeah, that's a malfunction waiting to happen.

In regards to the M26, seems like a cool idea in theory but the execution looks bad.

Here is my Masterkey.  I like it a lot.  The C-More looks more like a Proof of Concept than a finished product.
