I would like to know opinions on Bushmaster components. Upper receiver parts specifically. How do they perform, and how do they compare to other manufacturers?

Bushmaster is a fine weapon.
Nothing wrong with a Bushmaster.

All I've ever owned are Colts and one
Bushmaster.

To tell the truth, I couldn't see any
difference between them.

I have a Bushmaster and a RR.
The Bushmaster is a better rifle.
Much tighter grouping and better made.
Could be the model I have but thats my opinion.

I just ordered a Bushmaster bolt carrier group and all the other parts to complete my DSA upper. Paid about $175 shipped for complete bolt and carrier, charging handle, forward assist, ejection port cover, etc....

I find them overpriced for what they are. Most Cerberus' products are.

I have the Bushmaster Predator and it's a great riffle. Will shoot 1/2" groups at 100 yards with hand loads. I would buy another.

I was happy with the Bushy M4 I owned, but sold it to finance some cheaper kit builds that I've been just as happy with.
I'd say that for off the rack guns, Bushy's are a good buy.  Good quality and support if you do have a problem.  But, prior to Obaba's win, you could save some money and build a rifle that is in my opinion as good as a Bushmaster.  I wouldn't say that buying any complete bushmaster is a bad decision though, I liked my rifle, and would buy again if I weren't building my own. Get what you can now.  My latest build order through Delton is in no mans land since 11/05/2008, so I can't reccomend building your own now.

I've had my first Bushmaster for about 9 years now and absolutely love it. So much so that all of the key parts (barrel, upper, lower) of the build I'm doing now will be all Bushmaster. In fact, many qualified sources here say the Bushmaster barrels are superior to Colt.

The only exception in my build may be the bolt carrier group, I may go with Colt on that. Only because I like the way Colt stakes their keys. Not that I've had a prob with the Bushmaster keys, but still.

My Bushmaster Modular carbine is GTG.  I should have also bought the Bushmaster pistol upper when it was on sale last month just for shits and giggles.  Oh well, you snooze, you lose.
