I'm putting together a new build, and I'm trying to decide between a 12.0 Larue or a 13.2 Larue over a stainless WOA 18" SPR barrel.

What would you recommend and why? And, pics would be appreciated.

It is up to your preference but I like MORE rail. So a 13.2 is what I would buy.  I have several on them but mine are 16" barrels with a 13.2 rail system.

Depends on how much unnecessary weight you really want to add.

I use a 12" rail on my 18" SPR.  I will try to get a picture up soon.

To me it comes down to weight and balance when shooting off hand.  The 13.2 makes the center of gravity too far from my body.  YMMV.

i would use a 14" if they have one. I am a fan of long rails/FF tubes. had a 12" FF tube on my 16" BB. now I have a 10" rail on my 11.5" barrel. would like to get a 11" or 12" for my next 16" rifle

How much extra weight is the 1.2 inches of aluminum?  I can't see it making much difference.

Troy is making a 13.8" FF rail.  I just put one on a 16" barrel.  I'll try to post pics soon.
Waiting for my fixed LMT front sight to arrive.

I like the look of a long rail on a short barrel.

It's only 1.3 oz difference.  It's not really an issue lol.

Also DD has a production run setup in a few weeks for their 14" DD Lite rail.  It is OOS everywhere.

If it will have a front site, fixed or flip, or if you want to see the gas block then 12in.

If you are going to use a low pro gas block and say a troy rail mounted flipup site then I say 13.2-13.5-13.8

I'm building an 18" SPR (Denny's Guns Stainless Barrel).  I put a Troy 13" rail on it and it balances really well.  Looks pretty good too - not to close to the end of the barrel and enough to cover the gas block so it doesn't look too bad.  If you have a low profile gas block, I'd go with the 13".  If you have a flip-up front site on a gas block, then go with the 12"
