ca someone tell me the good bad w/ double star lowers are they decent????

I got one that was junk but I hve posted that a million times and only one other person has said they got a bad one. Ask the dealer to at least look at it to make sure the holes aren't fubar and you should be fine. The second one I got as a replacement was fine. Not a bad looking logo and the finish is nice

Mine is fine. However, I have only shot about 300 rounds with it.

the reason i ask is cuz the gun show here in AZ ( SAR) I will be looking for a few stripped lowers for future projects but i am not to famillar w/ the differant ar lowers

Aimless is the only person I've ever heard of having issues with Doublestar lowers.

I have sold a few hundred and never had a complaint.

I just got mine yesterday and I was impressed. The fit and finish was just the same as my Noveske. That's probably because they are made by the same company. The DS has the shiney teflon finish and the Noveske had the dull matte black finish.

I have one and its great. I have over 1K rounds through it with not problems. They are also one of the only lowers with a low shelf so it can accept a RDIAS withOUT mods. Not that many people have DIASs but still.

What was wrong with the holes?

The safety holes were sort of oblong or egg shaped. The trigger pin holes were drilled improperly, on the outside of the lower they were gouged out to be about twice the size they were supposed to be. They appeared to be the correct size on the interior. The defects were very obvious. I noticed it at my ffl's shop. I got boned pretty good on that deal. J&T replaced the lower but since it had a different serial number I had to pay a second ffl fee.
