I have the SOPMOD and the CTR. I like the SOPMOD better, just bought another.

Have a SOPMOD and just bought a PRS for another build - awaiting the lower from a member here.
Did mount it on a rifle - replacing the A2 and to be honest, I think I like the SOPMOD better. For as big as a PRS is, no space for storage tubes? 
Still - I have to use it some before I reach a definite conclusion. |

Can someone throw a tape measure on their SOPMOD for me? I'm looking for the length of the cheek weld portion along the top of the stock. Thanks.

Where's everyone getting theirs from? I have a RRA carbine and have been told that I need to get not only the stock but also the pipe and hardware. True?

True, the spmod is going to require a milspec buffer tube. RRA's come with a commercial buffer tube. Should only set you back maybe 40 bucks-ish. |

Great stock, I like it alot. I have been shooting mine for a little over a year and I really like it better than others I have tried. A big plus is that it is used on the MK18, anything tough enought to be Sailor Proof is pretty damn tough....LOL.
I also use the LMT BUIS, it is basically a cut down carry handle. Again, rock solid and Sailor Proof..... By "Sailor Proof", I do not mean Sailors like Frogmen or EOD Techs, I am talking about giving to a ham handed Boatswains Mate, Machinist Mate or an OS and then being reasonably sure it will come back in one piece after a VBSS event..... No disrespect, but after 24 years, I believe some of these guys could break an anvil if they tried.....Why do you think we make ships out of steel now and no longer wood???? |
