I have a MagPul MOE. Wondering what everyone likes and why?
I'm interested in trying the TangoDown again but its been too long for me to remember how it felt. |
MOE, MIAD, and Ergogrip here. I like the MIAD with the largest backstrap the best.
CAA G27 is my preference i did not like the ergogrip with overmolded rubber ,something about a soft grip on my AR didnt feel right.
I would also say the MIAD with the largest back strap. I have not tried the MOE yet.
My brother has a MIAD with the same setup. It feels good too since we have large hands. |
The MOE is like the MIAD with the flat front and medium rear. But it has the serrations on the rear instead of the stippling of the MIAD and I don't like that. The stippling of the MIAD makes it feel more secure in your hand |
had the ergo and liked it. now I have a miad and like it. almost got the moe as well.
My favorite are the MIAD grips on two of my carbines.
I've also got a MOE grip on my 9mm AR carbine, it's similar feel to my MIAD grip with the medium back strap, except the back strap are different, I like the front strap of the MOE which I feel that it have a little more grip. For old school grips it's the A1 and the Duckbill grip for me, I don't prefer finger grooves. One of my carbines which is an older LMT came with the TangoDown grip from the factory but I have a medium-large size hands and it's too small for me, I changed it with the MIAD. |
I've always been content with the issued A2 pistol grip until I made the mistake of putting a MIAD on one of my builds. Now the MIAD goes on all my rifles. I chose the MIAD because of the interchangeable backstraps. I use the medium backstrap and I slip on the small backstrap for my GF whenever I take an extra rifle to the range for her. The MIAD also has the CDI factor

Haven't tried the MOE, but I like the Ergo Sure-Grip Right Hand.
+1 as I really like the finger notches. I also have a MIAD "full kit" and I like the front-strap that incorporates the larger trigger guard and the fat backstrap. The MIAD is a real close second. I kind of liked the Hogue, but my hands are too big for it. |
I see you and I joined at the same time. You out post me. |
How about Sierra SPR grip?
I recently tried it and it looked and felt like something i could really use instead of the Hogue grip on my BM Predator. |
ERGO and Hogue are my favorites. The MIAD is a step up from the stock A2, though.
I have a First Samco ergo style pistol grip and forward grip and I love them both.
Tango Down battle grip. Great texture and fits my hands perfectly.
I have Ergos on almost all of my ARs, G27s on a couple.
I can live with the A2s if I have to, but don't like the Hogues at all (yes, I know everyone else here loves them ). I bought a couple of MIADs almost a year ago just to try, but have yet to install/try them. |
Same here. I cannot stand the A2. |
I've had the MIAD, TangoDown, and Ergo.
I vote Ergo. (ambi) MIAD was a close second with the medium back. |
Four of my rifles have the Ergo grip but I got a MOE on my new one. The only thing I don't like about the MOE is that every time you pull the trigger the plug comes out the bottom of the grip. If I get one of those of those fancy MIAD grip cores would it stay in place better?
Hogue all the way, or a regular stock one. MIAds look ugly to me and so do almost all other ones lol.
Tango Down or Miad. I would probably just buy a MOE instead of another Miad considering that is how mine was configured.
Ergo Sure-Grip (right hand model with thumb shelf) on my Colt AR 9mm and it feels great! Also have an Ergo Sure-Grip (ambi) on my cheap-ass Romanian WASR AK and I love it!!!
If they would make a MOE with the large back panel and winter trigger gaurd combined I would buy that. I dont need the other pieces. |
I really like the TD battlegrip. I've got one on my carbine and I like it.
Other then that, just the plain ol' A2. |
I like the ergo and the Tango down. I own alot of Magpull crap but I honestly hate the Miad grip.
I was hard up on the Ergo, but due to alot of reviews and the adjustability of the MIAD I ordered that this week. Cant wait to get it in and feel the difference. I have big hands, so the MIAD seemed like a better choice. Ergo felt pretty good off a gun though. Never felt it on a gun
I have both a Houge and MIAD on my two rifles. My lower came w/ a Tango Down but I didn't like it. I also have a houge on my .mil rifle. I wasn't sure about the MIAD, but am pleasantly surprised how much I like it.
If you're on the fence about a MIAD, stop sitting.....go get it. +1 in my opinion. **And MAGPUL, if you need my address to send me payment for my fantasticly super great testimonial, PM me. .........no? damn** |
This probably should have been a poll.
1) Ergo 2) MIAD Tango Down third because I've always had issues installing it (yes, even on different lowers). |
Love the Hogue in my RRA and the Ergo on the build I'm starting
