It will not make that much difference. The F base will raise your front sight .040 of an inch. You may need to lower the post by that when you zero. It's better to be .040 too tall than too short.

I had to crank my front post WAY down into the base to get it to sight in.

You can also raise the rear sight and re calibrate the wheel.
