Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Your thoughts on best Upper and bolt carrier/bolt manufacturer?

Getting an AR upper built in 5.45x39 - have no parts right now other than the barrel.  Am looking for a good upper, bolt carrier and bolt.  May go chrome on the bolt carrier and bolt.

What are your thoughts and opinions on a good manufacturer, and why are they better?  Are there really any major differences between ones that cost $99 and ones that cost $179?

Any I should avoid like the plague?
