I realize that cam pins are a sacrificial/consumable part, but I have noticed that genuine Colt cam pins last longer than off brand ones. Where can I buy real Colt cam pins cheaper than $9.50 each from SAW?

How does one know they are True COLT parts

since colt doesn't sell parts to us guys!

I myself would like to buy some extra spare parts
for my Defender M4

I do have some Bushmaster spare parts that I bought in 1999
but rather have Colt or LMT

If you buy from SAW you can be sure it's Colt, any others...roll the dice.

Brownells also sells genuine Colt AR parts. Don't know the price though.

Colt cam pins from Brownells are more expensive than SAW.  At $9.50, how many do you think you're gonna need?
