I'm using one in a 14.5" lightweight and it's been flawless so far. Easy to clean, too.

Are these lighter than the standard bolt carriers? By any chance, can you measure the difference? I was thinking of using one on a lightweight build.

I thought it was better to have a heavt BCG, at least in a carbine length gas system to slow the unlocking time and increase reliability.......
