I took these pictures before we offloaded them to our guys.  They'll soon be delivered to the terrorists round by round.

Do things ever just "fall off the truck" in the services?  I mean, like, at a trade show say, if you really wanted a new flat screen monitor, they sometimes just fall off the truck and nobody sees a thing...

I imagine the OP would rather that his recipients have the supplies they need.

You are issued the ammo you need in the mil. Maybe not as much as you would like but no need to acquire cases for yourself unless you want to risk NJP or worse, a court martial.

In any case (no pun intended) that is an impressive photo & I'm trying not to slober.

Un-Officially .....

When your a guy in my position you " could " have all the ammo you could ever dream of. comes from being the man that controls the account and processes the paper work, but as mentioned by warpig, I like to keep my rocker

Right now (and I do mean NOW) there is a guy being busted for ammo sales at my command. Last thing I want is not only busted for that but for them to pull up all my reloaded stuff that is LC brass and have them go "Yup, thats all mil property as well"

That's becase Colts are so manly and intimidating that just pointing one at the enemy will cause him to die of fright, so you never need to shoot it.

My bad.  8's and 0's tend to look the same after 20 hours on a jet.

I hear that, but I would take 20hrs on a C-17 over 1hr on a C-130 over Iraq stuffed with twice as many marines as it was ever intended to carry.

I've loaded my fair share of ammo in AF birds and if its one thing I'll never forget about you loadmaster types is....you sure do like you 5K lb white cargo straps and nothing else, and I do mean NOTHING ELSE!

Yeah, the loads love their cargo straps.  They're a whole lot easier to deal with than the chains.

According to one study we use 250,000 rounds of ammo for every insurgent killed.  At our current rate of 5.56 ammo use per terrorist killed, that is enough to kill about 8.5 of them.

Well if more terrorists want to get themselves shot, please be generous with the ammo (us taxpayers don't mind payin so long as you are willin to do the shootin!). Thanks for your service to our great country!

That was really just my way of asking him to reroute his flight over my house, which is about as ridiculous as taking my original comment seriously...

All of you

I don't think an airdrop in a residential neighborhood would "go unnoticed."

That IS the whole cargo floor of a C-17, right?  Up to hip level?  Wow.  That's a whole new level of cool for the C-17: "full of ammo."  I knew I liked that plane for a reason!

Not quite, that's only 13 pallets, we can carry a total of 18.

Did a JPAD drop this past Tuesday, from 6000 ft we hit at 3 o'clock and 50 yds on the first one and PI on the next one.
