My BURS has a z and 6/3 on the elevation. I understand that is zero and 300-600 meters right? I have seen some that have 4 and 8/3 what does that mean? Also I have a zero at 50 yards if i want to shoot 300+ yards to I have to adjust or simply use the small aperture?

the 8/3 is what comes on the a2 rifle.  6/3 is what comes on the m4 with removable carry handle.
