Would you choose A2, A4, or AR-15/M4?

ARFcom tradition, get both! I have both, but find myself grabbing my A4 over my M4 most often. I like having a magnified optic on the A4 versus irons on my M4. (I use a Trijicon Accupoint TR-21R, 1.25-4)

Plinking and hunting, if I get the A4 it will be in 7.62x51 NATO (if it is possible to find one in 7.62x51 NATO), and M4 in 5.56.

NO

Armalite $1200

DPMS $900-$1100

RRA LAR-8 $1100 and you have to wait until it is finally released

Just so you know, If you want a 7.62x51 AR you have to get an AR10. AR15 lowers are not compatible with AR10 uppers (or visa-versa).

What do you plan to hunt and at what range? Praire Dogs at 300+ yrds, Hogs at 50yrds, deer, what? There is no such thing as 1 do it all (at least not do it all well) AR.

Oh, will a 7.65x39 kill a hog, and if not a .300 whisper should (will the .300 and 7.62X39 even fit on a AR-15 lower?

I'll just go with a 6.8 SPC.
