I have seen pins walk, so I think they are cheap insurance.
Others feel otherwise, they will be along shortly. |

if you install your hammer spring correctly you should't really need them but I do haven them on my rifles simply cause I like the look they give my receiver

I use them with CMC Triggers. Otherwise they aren't necessary.

I have them on a preban lower. If it wasn't a preban I probably wouldn't have them.

I haven't seen a necessity for them, and I've shot many a round and worked on scores of rifles and carbines... and the US armed forces don't use them as standard issue to my knowledge (on M-16s and M4s).
I often hear them described here as the most "over the top," have to be tacticool, accessory. To me it wouldn't be rolling of the pins that would widen the receiver holes, more a constant vibration/ beating by the pins, and I don't think KNS pins would help that. YMMV, - AG |

I use them on one because the lower is not replaceable.

Probably not. But damn they are nice and the hammer and trigger travel is so damn smooth with them. I will never own a lower without them.

Semi Auto? Probably not.
But, the CDI factor is high. So I will never roll with out them. |

a couple squards of ducttape over the ends of each pin accomplish the same thing without divirting ammo money to fancy new pins.

I got laid once because I had them installed.
But for the money, it's cheap insurance like someone stated above. Same logic applies to things like winter trigger guards and titanium firing pins. |
