Does not make it "bad", just funny looking. They shoot perfectly fine. The buffers in SOME are plastic tho and are not known for holding up real well but I believe they have gone back to AL. Easy enough to replace out anyways.

now i know.   the ncstar scope IS gone.    but i kinda liked the way it looked, and lite up.  it was a cute little scope.  i think that ill miss it.

and.  the bushnell scope shoote well also.  i can group 1/2" at 100 yards with it.   i just dont have the money to spend on a really nice scope.   but... it works for me.

wad-da-ya think?

Dump the 40 and go 20's or 30's...

If your'e shooting 1/2 groups @ 100 get a fized stock and that accuracy will improve

Depends on who made the 40.

I have a DPMS 45 rouinder w/ over 200 rounds no hickups yet.  I use it for stages where I cant start w/ a loadded betea.

for non match use USGI 30's and 20's are the way to go.

I think that is a result of the "z" being so close to the "x" on the keyboard

Supposed to be a fiXed stock

20" barrels look more balanced with A1 or A2 stocks - or so goes the thinking. That and most AR15 owners living in free states wasted little time de-neutering their beloved rifles after 9/14/04.

Put an F- marked FSB (complete with useless bayo lug), A2 stock, and a good 'ole A2 flash hider on your Colt and you couldn't tell it apart from the venerable M16A2 save the sear.

Or you could leave it as is.

Nice AR15, Brian
