Hey everyone, my name is Alex, I'm active duty military stationed in Oklahoma at the moment. I picked up my first AR last week, and took it out today to sight in the iron sights, and help a friend sight in a few of his hunting rifles. I just ordered some new toys for it from bravocompany, and I'll post pics as it evolves. Here's a few pics from today:

One good things about these pictures is that I realized I have been removing my finger from the trigger after every shot. Out of 15 pictures of me shooting with a casing in the air, my finger is off the trigger. I guess between that, and the fact that it LOOKS like my eye relief changes each time, I have a bit to work on :)

I look forward to learning from all of you, and shootin' the.... breeze.

MarineRecon has it correct, I'm Air Force. Africa is one hell of a different place, it was a joint command and I have a newfound respect for all the other branches. I am definately glad to be home though :)

The Indian Territory Practical Shooters Club range out in Duke, due west of Ft. Sill about, 45 mins-1 hour drive.

I just thought I'd add, that was probably the easiest battlesight zero I've ever had. The M16s we use do to day when we train are in horrible shape, and I can never get a good zero. I took my new bushy out, first grouping low and left, adjusted, next grouping level and left, adjusted, next grouping perfect, so I loaded another magazine, and tried at center from a few different positions, and aside for my own screwups (anticipation, or jumping) every shot counted. I'm VERY happy with the way I was shooting, even with iron sights.

<--- one happy camper.
