I got a upper receiver today that has what looks like a square as the forgeing mark (not a keyhole or cardinal) anybody know what it is and how good it should be it came with a DelTon kit.
Also I posted this in the GD but it wasnt seen much so I will put it here. I came across this a few years ago and thaught some of you that dont know about it may find it usefull.Link site

I and others have asked about the square forge mark, but no body seems to know much about it. Until your post I have only heard of it being on BM carry handles.
 Do you have a pic of the upper in question? |

I will be getting some pics tomorrow and it is a flattop upper I will try to contact DelTon tomorrow and see what they know about it if nobody here knows.

I have that same mark on my Bushmaster Piston upper. Wonder if its POFs? As they are licensed to make copies of their piston upper stuff.

Cardinal Forge makes the forgings, and many companies machine uppers from them. |

I just received a carry handle from Brownells with the square forge mark. It was advertized as a DPMS on the Brownells web site.

My Colt 6920 came with a square forge marked carry handle.
