I wish Noveske could get some stuff in stock. I need a 12.5 stainless steel barrel and I need a NSR Mlok rail to finish my pistol.

Originally Posted By TinyCrumb: Yeah, I did one. The image you posted from Noveske is a Gen 4 and isn't related to the dev rifle at all. Just their newer civilian rifle. Here's the build list if you want to build one: - The 300 and 5.56 are identical other than the marking on the port door and the gas length. 300 is pistol length and 5.56 is carbine. - Noveske Gen 1 lower. The contract FA ones come from their own batch, the closest you’ll get is one of the newer F-prefix lowers that have the new engraving style. - Noveske Gen 3 upper receiver, 2nd version - Noveske NSR-9 M-LOK - Noveske 10.5” “Navy profile” barrel - Profile was custom built/spec’d for dev. Fairly close to their “lightweight contour”. There’s only a handful of these in civilian hands and they’re not planning on offering them, so you might need to substitute with something else. - Noveske TiN NSR screws (not publicly available) - Noveske caliber-marked port door (not publicly available) - Noveske rear QD sling plate - Noveske / Geissele ACH charging handle - both colors are used - Magpul MOE-K2 Grip / FDE - Magpul MOE SL-K Stock / FDE - Magpul trigger guard / FDE - Dead Air Sandman-S - Cerakote FDE - Only the can body is coated. - Optics/lights/lasers are supplied by the customer, but all ITW so far have been a combination of NGAL and Surefire with either Aimpoint T2 or Nightforce ATACR 1-8. My Sandman is in jail so I have the wrong can on mine for now: https://i.imgur.com/wF1ui9Y.jpg View Quote Wow... For once, the clone gods are smiling down on me. I just happen to have a SBR’d gen 1 Noveske lower and 80% of the parts on hand. |

What's the context? Someone building an airsoft clone? I don't follow the airsoft world too closely. Looks like they're generally on the right track. Missing the right upper receiver and then obviously a lot of those parts are not as close to the real ones as they could be. But if they got it cerakoted I suppose they'd be "close enough" from a few feet away… |

But the upper in your pic isn’t a Gen 3, it’s a vltor which were used on Gen 2 builds and some transitional builds. When they went to the Gen 3 upper the first version had the Noveske engraving in a similar spot, the cross on the top IIRC, and then slab side on the bolt catch slide. The later versions had a “NOVESKE” logo engraving there. That’s the one you want. Shoot me a message and I can help out with any questions. It’s a fun build, I highly recommend it. |
