Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How Many A2 Stock Manufacturers?

I recently purchased an Armalite M-15A2 from an on-line auction. I've had several ARs with the standard full A2 stocks, but this one is different. The color is darker (black) then the deep dark grey of a Bushie, Rock River etc., and it seems lighter in weight and the trap door inside is darker (less light penetration) than others. Also the stock surface seems to be slicker/smoother than others. Does Armalite use a different manufacturer? Is there more than one mil-spec for the stocks?
