Hello all, I am thinking about using my AR with a 1 in 9 twist 16" bbl. for AM Deer hunting, since I am always on the move in the AM, and my .308 in the afternoons
when I sit in my stand. So my question is, what would be the best bullet to load
for my 1 in 9 twist AR15? Please keep in mind that I hunt on a mountain, and just
about all my shots are always under 75 yards.

Do you handload your own ammo?
If so, try;
The Speer 70 grain semi-spitzer,
The Nosler 60 grain partition.
The Winchester 64 gr soft point
All work fine.  Shot placement is the key, but all these bullets will hold togather and penetrate.  It bears re-stating .......you are shooting at what's on the inside of the deer, not a place on it's outside.  Penetration is important.

I reload the Sierra 65 grain Gamekings and earhole wild hogs. I have never used my Ar's on the deer.
