Look at www.rguns.net They sell DPMS uppers for $399. Just call to order it and make sure it is in stock. I bought a DPMS M4 upper last Christmas w/ chrome carrier for $399. I wouldn't pay more than $399 for a DPMS upper half, unless it had a railed handguard, came with detacheable carry handle, or had a chrome bore.

Go to the EE under New Uppers GDS Scott has New Chrome Lined RRA uppers complete for cheaper

i got a complete upper from midway on sale for $400 once. 16" ss bull, ff tube. arent chrome lined stags or rra in the low $400s on the ee.
