bushmaster's tube is not milspec

Colt, VLTOR, CMT/Stag, LMT are mil specs

+1  RRA is not milspec either. If you already have a non milspec reciever extention(tube) from bushy then keep it and wait for the CTR Magpul Stock to come out for the incorrect reciever extentions. If you don't have a reciever extention yet then buy a milspec one and dont' ever buy a non milspec one

Swap it out with a mil-spec tube.

It'll be easier to convince yourself later to try out different stocks.

LMT's SOPMOD stock found it's way to my door that way.

I have a 4 position stock ( I believe it's a colt). Will that work?

Now because I'm an idiot, will I need different stock, back plates, or whatever the technical term is? It seems reasonable that two different diameter tubes are going to screw into two different parts.

No, you won't, the only Dimension that changes is the tube itself. When I swapped out my Bushmaster Tube for a VLTOR one, I used the same plate and Castle nut.

Awesome, I can swing the extra bucks for a Colt tube then. Actually it'll be the only pony part in my build.

Edited to add- what is the diameter of a correct tube so I can check the stocks for sale? I don't have the $ for the LMT SOPMOD I covet yet...

OK, so I find a CMMG stock to tide me over until the SOPMOD. Cool. Thanks!
