Are both legs of your hammer spring up on top of the trigger pin? That is the proper way and why the pin has a groove at the one end. The spring leg engages the pin and holds it in place.

The easiest fix it to take the hammer out and reposition the spring legs on top the trigger.
Drift the hammer pin out. Left or right, it doesn't matter. Pull up on hammer and take it out. Put the hammer back in making sure the spring legs are on top of the trigger pins. Reinsert hammer pin. That's it! And it's about that easy. |

+1 bumble bee..you dont need anti-walk pins the hammer spring leg will fall in to the trigger pin groove and hold it in.

May not mean much to some, but I was trained to remove and install pins from the passager side. ( push out from mag release side and install from bolt release side)

Doesn't really matter. The pins can go in and out either way, and the end groove can be on either side.

On older sporting arms this was the general practice. Problably still is. The story was the pins had a slight taper and removing them from the same (right-hand) side would keep the holes and pin tight. Or maybe it was the hole on the left-hand side was slightly under sized? At any rate, this is not an issue with the AR15/16 design. |
