I think the Phantom is the best all-around f/h for general use.

When it comes to hiding the flash, the Vortex is best. I am sure that someone will post the pics in a few minutes comparing muzzle flash.

Thre was a thread on this a while back with pictures of the various models in action. IIRC, the Vortex was the best performer, but not significantly better than the Phantom. Both performed substantially better than the A2.
The Phantom has the advantage of being half the price of a Vortex and, because it's closed around the end, it's supposed to be less likely to get snagged on stuff. |

I went with the Vortex G6A2 from SEI.
IMHO, the SEI Vortex is the best flash suppressor made and I can use my Fisher M14DC sound suppressor on it. |

Yes there is more to flash hiders than looks. The vortex is the best followed by the phantom in my opinion.
